Oman in the Medical Device GVC

For the first phase of UNIDO's project in Oman, I prepared on a report on Oman and the Medical Device Global Value Chain. Activities: Reviewed literature on the medical instruments industry in Oman. Interviewed government institutions and enterprises on the potential and obstacles for developing a medical instruments industry in Oman. Analyzed the medical instruments value chain worldwide and how can it be developed in Oman, focusing on local technological capabilities, availability of suppliers, policies towards building stages in the value chain and how Omani production can be integrated into world markets. Provided policy recommendations to develop a medical instruments industry in Oman.
