Measuring GVCs: Background, Applications, Benefits & Challenges

I gave a presentation related to two background papers on Vietnam and Costa Rica, and fieldwork in China regarding the use of national and firm-level data to map and measure a country's participation along a value chain. This was part of Session IPS079: Global Value Chain measurement and its importance for developing countries at the International Statistics Institute's (ISI) 61st World Statistics Congress.
