Introduction to the GVC Research Approach

This three-day workshop on global value chain analysis was for a group of 10 officials of the National Industry Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), which is part of Saudi Arabia Vision 2030. The workshop included:

• Introduction to the GVC framework and research approach, comparisons to other approaches
• Project examples from different industries, countries, and focus areas. More in-depth presentations were provided on medical devices and the digital economy.
